Our Story
Hi, I’m Mariah.
Studio Slack began during a season when I was craving something slower - a hobby that could take me off my phone and back into creating with my hands. As I started stitching, I found myself drawn to canvases that felt personal and reminded me of home. That's the moment I feel in love with needlepoint.
To tell you a little bit about myself, I was born and raised in Oklahoma City and two years ago, my husband and I moved to Tyler, Texas. The house in our logo is my childhood home and Slack is my maiden name, which makes this brand especially meaningful to me.
Oklahoma will always be home, but East Texas has become a place I truly love. I create pieces inspired by the places we come from, whether that is Oklahoma City, East Texas or simply little details that make a place feel like ours. In many ways, Studio Slack feels like a love letter to the places that built me.
My hope is to continue creating heirloom canvasess that feel familiar, thoughtful and full of heart; designs that remind us of where we come from,what you love and the stories worth stitching, keeping and passing down.
